You may need to place a small amount of sealant at the split line of the upper and lower crankcases, place the engine front cover gasket over the crankcase dowel pins, place the engine front cover in position on the crankcase, apply thread lock to the engine front cover bolts, install the engine front cover bolts until snug, then tighten the engine front cover bolts in the sequence to 10 N.m (89 lb in), finally install the crankshaft balancer and the drive belt idler pulley.
