Q: How to remove the Engine Coolant Thermostat?
A:
You will need to remove the air cleaner, drain the cooling system, then reposition the radiator outlet hose clamp at the thermostat housing using the J 38185, remove the radiator outlet hose from the thermostat housing, remove the thermostat housing bolts, the thermostat housing, thermostat, and gasket, finally discard the old thermostat housing gasket.

01/11/2022Q: How to install the Engine Coolant Thermostat?
A:
You may need to install a new thermostat housing gasket and the thermostat into the water pump housing, next install the thermostat housing and the thermostat housing bolts, then tighten the bolts to 10 N.m (89 lb in), install the radiator outlet hose, position the radiator outlet hose clamp at the thermostat housing, next fill the cooling system and install the air cleaner.
