2008 Cadillac DTS Mass Air Flow Sensor

The removal procedure is to disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the mass air flow/intake air temperature (MAF/IAT) sensor, loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body, loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the MAF/IAT sensor, then remove the air cleaner outlet duct, the MAF/IAT sensor bolts and the MAF/IAT sensor.

The installation procedure is to install the MAF/IAT sensor and the MAF/IAT sensor bolts, then tighten the bolts to 4 N.m (35 lb in), next install the air cleaner outlet duct and tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the MAF/IAT sensor to 4 N.m (35 lb in), and tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body to 4 N.m (35 lb in), finally, connect the engine harness electrical connector to the MAF/IAT sensor.

The troubleshooting procedure is to attach one lead to the battery's positive voltage and touch the other lead to various points along the circuit where the ground should be present. When the bulb illuminates, there is ground at the point being tested.

You will need J 35616-200 Test Light-Probe Kit. The J 35616-200 is Micro-Pack compatible and comprised of a 12-volt light bulb with an attached pair of leads.

The troubleshooting procedure is to attach one lead to the ground and touch the other lead to various points along the circuit where voltage should be present. When the bulb illuminates, there is the voltage at the point being tested.
