You will need to raise and support the vehicle, drill out the rivets, lower the heat shield until the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S) clips can be disconnected, disconnect the HO2S clips from the heat shield, then remove the heat shield.

Q: How do you remove the left exhaust manifold?
A:
You can remove the front engine mount bracket and the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer, then disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the heated oxygen sensor (HO2S), remove the HO2S, the Exhaust Manifold front pipe bolts, the exhaust manifold, then remove and discard the exhaust manifold gasket and the front exhaust manifold pipe seal, next remove the front exhaust manifold pipe flange.
Q: How to install the exhaust system insulator, hanger, and bracket?
A:
You may need to apply a soapy solution to the rear hanger rod and the inner diameter of the rear exhaust hanger to ease the installation of the hanger, press the rear exhaust hanger over the tailpipe hanger rod, position the rear exhaust hanger to the rear exhaust hanger bracket, then install the rear exhaust hanger to hanger bracket nut and tighten the nut to 30 N.m (22 lb-ft), ease the installation of the hanger, and press the exhaust hanger over the Exhaust Pipe hanger rod.
