2008 Cadillac CTS Valve Lifter

First, you need to use EN 46116 to install the valve stem seal, install the Valve Spring, and the valve spring retainer and install EN 46110 above the applicable valve spring as shown. Then, please tighten the EN 46110 valve spring compressor nut, install the valve spring keepers, remove the EN 46110, disconnect the J 39313 from the compressed air source, and remove the J 39313. Finally, you should install the spark plugs, the rocker arms, and camshafts, remove the EN 46106 to prevent crankshaft rotation, and install the starter motor.

First, you need to remove the applicable camshaft(s). Then, please remove the Rocker Arms. Finally, you should clean and inspect the camshaft(s) and the rocker arm(s).

First, you need to remove the engine cover, remove the upper intake manifold with the lower intake manifold and disconnect the ignition coil electrical connectors. Then, please remove the wiring harness from the side of the camshaft cover by sliding the conduit down and outboard, remove the wiring conduit retainers from the camshaft cover by rotating the wiring harness conduit retainers counterclockwise, remove the wiring harness from the front of the camshaft cover and reposition and secure the wiring harnesses away from the camshaft cover to provide clearance. Finally, you should remove the ignition coils, remove the camshaft cover, and remove and discard the camshaft cover seal and grommets.
