First, you need to install the starter heat shield bracket to the stud located at the engine block, install the nut securing the starter heat shield bracket to the engine block, install the starter heat shield bracket to the stud located at the rear of the starter motor and install the nut securing the starter heat shield bracket to the starter. Then, please position the starter heat shield to the starter motor and brackets. Finally, you should install the bolt/nuts securing the starter heat shield to the starter motor and brackets, install the right catalytic converter, and connect the battery negative cable.

Q: How to remove the Starter Shield?
A:
First, you need to disconnect the battery negative cable. Then, please remove the right catalytic converter, remove the fasteners securing the starter heat shield to the starter, remove the starter heat shield, remove the nut securing the starter heat shield bracket to the starter and remove the starter heat shield bracket. Finally, you should remove the nut securing the starter heat shield bracket to the engine block and remove the starter heat shield bracket.

Q: How to remove the Battery Positive Cable?
A:
First, you need to disconnect the battery negative and positive cables from the battery, depress the tabs to remove the cover from the electrical center, and remove the nut securing the battery positive cable to the electrical center. Then, please reposition the protective boot from the generator output BAT terminal for access, remove the generator output BAT terminal nut and disconnect the battery positive lead from the generator and remove the starter terminal nut and disconnect the battery positive cable from the starter. Finally, you should lower the vehicle and remove the battery positive cable from the engine.
Q: What is the installation procedure for the battery current sensor?
A:
First, you should slide the new battery current sensor up onto the negative battery cable. Then, please use new tie straps and electrical tape to attach the battery current sensor to the negative battery cable. Finally, you can install the negative battery cable and connect the I/P harness electrical connector to the battery current sensor.
Q: How to remove the Generator (LY7)?
A:
First, you need to disconnect the battery negative cable, remove the drive belt from the generator, and raise and support the vehicle. Then, please disconnect the electrical connector from the generator, reposition the protective boot from the generator output BAT terminal for access, remove the generator output BAT terminal nut and disconnect the battery positive lead from the generator, and remove the generator lower bolts. Finally, you should lower the vehicle, remove the generator upper bolt and remove the generator from the engine.
