2008 Cadillac CTS Exhaust Pipe

First, you need to install the NEW exhaust tip to the exhaust pipe and align it to the mark previously made during disassembly. Then, please re-install the exhaust system to the rear suspension hanger rods and the tail pipe hanger rods. You also need to visually align the exhaust tip to the vehicle, tack weld the exhaust tip to the vehicle, and remove the exhaust system from the rear suspension hanger rods, and the tail pipe hanger rods. Finally, you should weld the exhaust tip to the exhaust pipe in the same locations the original tip had been welded and re-install the exhaust system to the rear suspension hanger rods, and the tail pipe hanger rods.

First, you need to apply a suitable lubricant to the exhaust hanger mounting bracket rods and the tail pipe hanger rods to ease the removal of the hangers. Then, please pry the tailpipe hangers free from the tailpipe hanger rods and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket rods, and remove the nuts securing the rear energy absorber and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket to the rear compartment rail. Finally, you should remove the stud plate from the rear energy absorber and remove the exhaust hanger mounting bracket from the rear energy absorber.

First, you need to position the exhaust hanger mounting bracket between the rear energy absorber and the stud plate and install the bumper nuts securing the rear energy absorber and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket to the rear compartment rail. Then, please apply a soapy solution to the exhaust hanger mounting bracket rods, the inner diameter of the tail pipe hangers, and the tail pipe hanger rods to ease the installation of the hangers. Finally, you should press the tailpipe hangers over the tailpipe hanger rods and the exhaust hanger mounting bracket rods.

First, you need to apply a soapy solution to the body support bracket rod, the inner diameter of the tailpipe hanger, and the tailpipe hanger rod to ease the installation of the hanger. Then, please press the tailpipe hanger over the tailpipe hanger rod and the body support bracket rod, and apply a soapy solution to the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the inner diameter of the front exhaust hanger to ease the installation of the hanger. Finally, you should press the front exhaust hanger over the exhaust pipe hanger rod and the rear suspension hanger rod.

First, you need to remove the exhaust system from the rear suspension hanger rods, and the tail pipe hanger rods. Then, please mark the location of the existing exhaust tip on the exhaust pipe. Finally, you should remove the weld from the top and bottom of the exhaust tip, remove the exhaust tip and clean the remaining weld from the exhaust pipe.
