First, you need to remove the tire and wheel assembly, the rear brake rotor, and remove the park brake shoe pins by compressing the hold-down springs and rotating the spring 1/4 turn. Then, please rotate the adjuster screw to retract the park brake shoes, remove the park brake shoe adjuster spring, spread the park brake shoes, and remove the park brake shoe adjuster. You also need to disassemble the park brake shoe adjuster and lubricate the adjuster screw threads with high-temperature brake lubricant, remove the park brake shoe assembly from the backing plate by spreading the park brake shoes apart, and pull the park brake shoe assembly over and off of the actuator. Finally, you should remove the park brake shoe return spring, clean the park brake shoe backing plate, and lubricate the park brake shoe to backing plate contact points with high-temperature brake lubricant.

First, you need to place the ignition switch into OFF mode and wait a minimum of 2 minutes to allow the high-speed LAN control modules to deactivate. Then, please disconnect the negative battery cable, raise and support the vehicle, remove the front air deflector shield, remove the washer solvent container fasteners and position the washer solvent container aside to access the electronic brake control module (EBCM). Finally, you should clean the area around the EBCM of all dirt and debris, release the EBCM electrical connector, remove the EBCM screws and separate the EBCM from the brake pressure modulator valve (BPMV).
