Install the J44214 and remove the spark plug from the cylinder being worked on. Install the base plate of the J44211 over the spark plug hole and install the J 39313 in the spark plug hole. Next, install the arm and swivel nut of the J 44211 over the stud corresponding to the valve to be serviced. Tighten the swivel nut of J 44211 and remove the valve locks. Remove the valve spring retainer and valve spring.

The proper way is to remove the rocker arms, and the SHLA, and clean the Valve Lifters.
Q: What is the valve rocker arm installation procedure?
A:
Apply a liberal amount of lubricant to the roller pivot pocket and place the camshaft followers in position on the valve tip. Next, install the right camshafts.
Q: What is the camshaft installation procedure?
A:
First, install the camshaft cover/seal and tighten the camshaft cover bolts to 10 Nm. Install the ignition coils, connect the PCV foul air tube quick-connect fitting to the camshaft cover and install the AIR check valve. Finally, install the fuel injector sight shield.
