2008 Buick Enclave Ball Joint

You need to release the parking brake, raise and support the vehicle, remove the park brake equalizer locknut, release the park brake cable from the Parking Brake Cable bracket, remove the park brake cable from the bracket and the equalizer, disconnect the park brake cable eyelet from the park brake actuator, compress the locking tabs and pull the park brake cable conduit toward the front of the vehicle to compress the park brake cable spring, remove the park brake cable from the cable bracket, and then pull the park brake cable through the cable guides and remove the park brake cable from the vehicle.

You will need to raise and support the vehicle, remove the wheel bearing/hub assembly and the outer tire rod end from the Steering Knuckle, and separate the lower ball joint from the steering knuckle.

You can turn the steering wheel to the straight forward position and lock it in place, remove the left front tire/wheel assembly, disengage the intermediate Steering Shaft boot from the steering gear and the intermediate steering shaft upper seal, remove the intermediate steering shaft bolt and separate the intermediate steering shaft from the steering gear, and then remove the intermediate steering shaft boot.
