2007 GMC Sierra 3500 HD Axle Shaft

You can remove the engine shield, clean the area around the front axle fill plug and the drain plug, remove the fill plug, remove the drain plug and then drain the fluid from the front Differential carrier assembly.

You should remove the right side seal and/or bearing, the inner Axle Shaft Seal and/or the inner axle shaft bearing, the inner axle shaft, the inner axle shaft seal, the differential carrier assembly, the inner axle shaft, and the inner axle shaft seal and/or the inner axle shaft bearing.

The procedure is to remove the bearing cups from the universal joint, assemble 1 bearing cup part way into 1 side of the yoke, assemble the cross into the yoke, press the cross into the yoke, assemble the opposite bearing cup part way into the yoke ear, press the opposite bearing cup into the yoke ear, press the bearing cup and then assemble the bearing retainer in the retainer groove.
