FAQ for Fuel Sending Unit Repair
Q: What causes the fuel gauge to not rise above the 3/4 mark, check engine light on, or incorrect fuel readings?
A:
This condition may be caused by a fuel vapor vent line interfering with the travel of the fuel level sensor float. This is an internal problem in the tank.
