Remove each bolt on each cap one turn at a time so there is no spring tension on the camshaft.

A:
Start with removing the camshaft cover and the upper timing chain guide. Next, install the sprocket holding tool. Remove both in intake and exhaust camshaft sprocket bolts and discard them. Slide the camshaft sprockets forward. Remove the caps, the intake camshaft, the camshaft roller followers, and the hydraulic lash adjusters.
