Q: How do I remove the Automatic Transmission Range Selector Lever Cable?
A:
Set the park brake and chock the wheels. Fully lift the retainer from the transaxle range selector cable mechanism. Disconnect the transaxle range selector cable terminal from the transaxle manual shift lever pin. Press the locking tabs inward to release the transaxle range selector cable from the bracket. Remove the console, and disconnect the transaxle range selector cable terminal from the shift lever pin. Remove the transaxle range selector cable from the console. Unplug the shift cable grommet at the cowl panel and remove the shift cable from the vehicle.

Start with removing the console, and remove the cable from the control assembly by pressing the tabs on the control cable. Next, disconnect the control cable from the transaxle range switch lever. Press the 2 tabs on the control cable and remove the cable from the bracket. Then remove the control cable grommet from the dash panel and the control cable from the vehicle.
