You will need to remove both front tires and wheels first. If equipped with AWD, you can disconnect the stabilizer links from the stabilizer shaft and swing the stabilizer shaft upwards to gain additional clearance. Then you need to remove the Transmission Mount-to-bracket through bolt, the transmission mount-to-frame bolts, and the transmission mount.

You will need to remove the battery tray, apply the parking brake and place the control shift lever in neutral (N), remove the manual shaft detent lever, disconnect the electrical connectors from the TCM, remove the TCM bolts, then remove the TCM by sliding off of the manual shaft.

You may need to apply the parking brake and ensure the vehicle is not running, ensure that the shift control assembly is in the park (P) position, then pull back the white plastic cover on the center connector, and pull up on the center tabs of the lock button, next release the shift cable end and allow the blue spring to tension/adjust the shift cable system, then pull the white cover on the shift cable end back, next engage the locking teeth on the shift cable end and release the white cover, then verify the white cover conceals the natural colored lock. If the white cover does not conceal the natural-colored lock, the shift cable must be readjusted. If all of the gear positions cannot be achieved, the shift cable must be readjusted.
