You will need to remove the front seat, place the seat on a clean workbench, then remove the seat cushion cover and pad, and cut the wiring harness off the old heater element flush to the element.

Q: How to install the seat cushion heater element-front (with passenger presence system)?
A:
You may need to peel off the self-stick tape from the back of the heater element, position the heater element over the seat foam pad and align the tabs and holes of the heater element to the seat foam and engage the adhesive, next route the heating element wiring harness under the seat pad and connect the harness to the heater module, then install the seat cushion cover and pad and the front seat. Finally, you can preload test the inflatable restraint passenger presence system for the front passenger seat.
