Q: How to install the Oil Filter Adapter and Bypass Valve Assembly?
A:
You may need to install the oil filter bypass valve to the proper depth, install the oil filter bypass hole plug and tighten the plug to 19 N.m (14 lb-ft), then install the oil filter adapter and gasket to the engine block, next install the oil filter adapter bolts and tighten the bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb-ft), finally install the oil filter, lower the vehicle and fill the engine with new engine oil.

Q: How to remove the Oil Filter Adapter and Bypass Valve Assembly?
A:
You will need to remove the oil filter and the oil filter adapter bolts, then remove the oil filter adapter and gasket from the engine block, remove the oil filter bypass hole plug, next insert a flat-bladed tool into the oil filter bypass hole and force the bypass valve out to remove the bypass valve.
