Q: How to remove the Lower Intake Manifold?
A:
You will need to drain the cooling system and remove the upper intake manifold, then remove the heater inlet pipe, disconnect the radiator inlet hose from the thermostat housing, remove the fuel rail assembly and the lower intake manifold bolts, then remove the lower intake manifold from the engine. If replacing the lower intake manifold, you should remove the thermostat and housing. Then you can remove the rocker arms and push rods, and the lower intake manifold gaskets.

Q: What should be noticed when you install the lower intake manifold bolts?
A:
You will need to ensure that all lower intake manifold bolts need to be clean, free of foreign materials, and reused only if new bolts are unavailable. Besides, the manufacturer recommends the center bolts be fully torqued before the diagonal bolts to assure proper torque distribution.
