2007 Chevrolet Equinox Hood Release Cable

You will need to open the hood and remove the hood latch, then remove the release cable from the structure, remove the left front carpet retainer inside the vehicle, next reposition the carpet aside to expose the release handle, and pull the release handle to up position, disengage from the hinge pillar, finally remove the hood hinge cable grommet from the front of the dash and remove the cable from the core support.

You may need to install the hood hinge cable and grommet through the front of the dash, slide the hood release handle into the hinge pillar and secure it into place, then reposition the carpet and install the front carpet retainer, route the hood cable through the body structure, and install the hood latch.
