You will need to remove the air intake duct, inspect the Throttle Body bore and the throttle valve plate for deposits, then clean the throttle body bore and the throttle valve plate using a clean shop towel with GM top engine cleaner, GM P/N 1052626 (Canadian P/N 993026) or AC-Delco Carburetor Tune-Up Conditioner, P/N X66-P, or an equivalent product. Finally, you can install the air intake duct.

You will need to disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector, remove the MAP Sensor retaining bolt and bracket, and next remove the MAP sensor and the MAP sensor port seal if it is still retained in the intake manifold.

You will need to ensure that all lower Intake Manifold bolts need to be clean, free of foreign materials, and reused only if new bolts are unavailable. Besides, the manufacturer recommends the center bolts be fully torqued before the diagonal bolts to assure proper torque distribution.
