You should install the lower intermediate shaft to the vehicle, connect the lower intermediate shaft to the power steering gear, install the lower intermediate shaft to the power steering gear input shaft pinch bolt, connect the lower intermediate shaft to the upper intermediate shaft, then install the lower intermediate shaft to the upper intermediate shaft pinch bolt and plastic insert, and unlock the steering column by removing the J 42640 from the steering column lower trim cover access hole.

Q: How to remove the Steering Column Shaft Replacement (Standard Column)?
A:
You need to disable the SIR system, remove the steering wheel from the column, the ignition switch and lock housing assembly, and the steering column, then remove the linear shift assembly, the lower shaft bearing assembly, and remove the steering shaft assembly from the steering column support assembly and the steering column jacket assembly.

You should install the steering shaft assembly into the steering column support assembly, next install the lower shaft bearing assembly, the linear shift assembly, and the steering column, install the ignition switch and lock housing assembly, install the steering wheel onto the steering column, and enable the SIR system.
