2007 Chevrolet Colorado Oil Filter Adapter

You need to remove the oil filter, disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector from the oil pressure switch, disconnect the engine wiring harness retainer from the oil filter adapter, then remove the engine oil pressure switch, the oil filter adapter bolts, and remove the oil filter adapter from the engine block.

You should press the new oil filter bypass valve into the engine block, then install the oil filter adapter.

You need to remove the oil filter adapter, then use a suitable tool to pry the oil filter bypass valve from the engine block. Discard the oil filter bypass valve.

You should position the oil filter adapter to the engine block, install the engine oil pressure switch, connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector to the oil pressure switch, connect the engine wiring harness retainer to the oil filter adapter, then install the oil filter.
