FAQ for Drive Belt Repair

Q: How to remove the Drive Belt?
A:
You need to install a 3/8 inch breaker bar into the drive belt tensioner and rotate the tensioner clockwise, enough to relieve the tension on the drive belt, slide the drive belt from the water pump pulley, then allow the drive belt tensioner to return to the relaxed position, and remove the drive belt from the remaining pulleys.

Q: How to install the Drive Belt?
A:
You should route the drive belt over all the pulleys, excluding the water pump pulley, install the 3/8 inch breaker bar on the drive belt tensioner and rotate the tensioner clockwise, and route the drive belt over the top of the water pump pulley, then slowly release the tension to the drive belt tensioner, finally inspect for proper installation of the drive belt on the pulleys.
