Q: How do you install the radiator surge tank inlet hose/pipe?
A:
You can first install the surge tank inlet hose assembly to the vehicle, connect the surge tank inlet hose to the radiator, disengage tension and reposition the surge tank inlet hose clamp and connect the surge tank inlet hose to the throttle body assembly. Next disengage tension and reposition the surge tank inlet hose clamp, connect the surge tank inlet hose to the surge tank, disengage tension and reposition the surge tank inlet hose clamp, install the radiator and fill the cooling system.

The procedure is to drain the cooling system, disengage tension on the surge tank inlet hose clamp, disconnect the surge tank inlet hose, disengage tension on the surge tank outlet hose clamp, disconnect the surge tank outlet hose, remove the protective cap, remove the surge tank upper nut, loosen the surge tank side nut, disconnect the coolant level sensor electrical connector and remove the surge tank.
