01/11/2022Q: How do you install the Surge Tank Hose/Pipe-Inlet (LY7)?
A:
You need to engage the hose clamp at the throttle body assembly and connect the surge tank inlet hose, engage the hose clamp at the radiator and connect the surge tank inlet hose, and position the surge tank inlet hose to the retaining feature of the air cleaner assembly, engage the hose clamp at the surge tank and connect the surge tank inlet hose, and fill the cooling system.

You need to lubricate the inside diameters of the hoses with clean coolant prior to installation.

A:
Partially drain the cooling system, disengage the hose clamp at the surge tank and disconnect the surge tank inlet hose, disengage the hose clamp at the radiator and disconnect the surge tank inlet hose, disengage the hose clamp at the throttle body assembly and disconnect the surge tank inlet hose, and remove the surge tank inlet hose.
