2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV Variable Timing Oil Control Valve

You need to remove the oil pump and the starter motor, install the J 42386-A and bolts, use one M10-1.5 x 120 mm and one M10-1.5 x 45 mm bolt for proper tool operation, rotate the crankshaft sprocket until the camshaft position (CMP) actuator alignment mark and the crankshaft sprocket alignment mark are aligned and remove and discard the CMP actuator solenoid valve and the CMP actuator and Timing Chain. Next, you can loosen and separate the CMP actuator and timing chain from the camshaft, position your fingers behind the actuator sprocket and pull the actuator away from the front of the camshaft, never pull on the reluctor wheel when attempting to remove the actuator and insert and secure a tie strap through the center of the actuator and over the reluctor wheel. Then you can remove the timing chain tension bolts and tensioner, the crankshaft sprocket, and the crankshaft sprocket key.

You need to remove the accessory drive belt and loosen the drive belt Idler Pulley bolt and remove the idler pulley.

You need to position the A/C drive Belt Tensioner to the A/C compressor bracket and install and tighten the A/C drive belt tensioner bolts and install the A/C drive belt.
