2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV Valve Cover

You need to lubricate the O-ring seal of the new oil fill tube with clean engine oil, insert the new oil fill tube into the rocker arm cover, rotate the tube clockwise until locked in the proper position, install the oil fill cap into the tube, a new rocker cover gasket into the valve rocker arm cover lip and the valve rocker arm cover and tighten the rocker arm cover bolts.

You need to remove the intake manifold cover and the connector position assurance (CPA) retainer, disconnect the engine harness electrical connector from the ignition coil wire harness, remove the engine harness clip from the ignition coil bracket stud, reposition the engine harness, and remove the spark plug wires from the ignition coils, the ignition coil bracket studs, the ignition coil bracket, and the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose. Then you can loosen the valve rocker arm cover bolts and remove the valve rocker arm cover and remove and discard the old gasket.

The recommended torque is 12 N.m (106 Ib in).

You need to twist each plug wire 1/2 turn and pull only on the boot to remove the wire from the ignition coil.
