You need to disable the roof rail SIR system, and remove the rear seat belt buckles, back body opening molding, back rear corner upper molding, rear door sill plate, lock pillar molding, and body side trim panel.

You need to spray GM vehicle care odor eliminator directly or as an additive with carpet shampoo in steam cleaners and do not use it on any interior surface that plain water would deteriorate, because this product will have the same effect. Also, you need to avoid letting this product come into contact with vinegar or any acidic substance and acid-based products will hamper the effectiveness of GM vehicle care odor eliminator.

You need to remove the front seats, rear seats, floor console, front center seat, front seat belt buckles, rear seat belt buckles, front door sill plates, rear door sill plates, front hinge pillar trim panels, and center pillar lower molding.

Objectionable smells of mold and mildew resulting from vehicle water leaks and customer-created odors, such as smoke.

If you observe puddles of liquid on the carpet face, remove the excess moisture, blot the face of the carpet with a towel to absorb as much moisture as possible, point a fan at the affected area, and air dry the carpet.
