Q: What will the scan tool instruct you to do?
A:
It will instruct you to accelerate to wide open throttle (WOT), release the throttle when fuel cut-off occurs and observe fuel cut-off for the applicable engine. The engine should not accelerate beyond calibrated RPM value. Next, it instructs you to release the throttle immediately if the value is exceeded, block the drive wheels, set the parking brake, cycle ignition from OFF to ON, apply and hold the brake pedal, start, and idle the engine and turn A/C OFF. The vehicle must remain in Park or Neutral.
