01/11/2022Q: How do you install the Engine Coolant Fan Upper Shroud (Mechanical)?
A:
You need to install the upper fan shroud, the fan shroud bolts, and the fan shroud retainers. If equipped install the inlet radiator hose retainer to the fan shroud. If equipped install the throttle body heater hose retainer to the fan shroud. Then you can install the air cleaner outlet duct and tighten the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the throttle body and the air cleaner outlet duct clamp at the mass airflow sensor.

A:
You need to loosen the air cleaner outlet duct clamps from the throttle body and the air cleaner outlet duct clamps from the mass airflow sensor and remove the air cleaner outlet duct. If equipped remove the throttle body heater hose retainer from the fan shroud. If equipped remove the inlet radiator hose retainer from the fan shroud. Then you can remove the fan shroud retainers, the fan shroud bolts, and the upper fan shroud.

You need to remove the cooling fan. If equipped with an engine oil cooler, remove the oil cooler hose clip from the lower fan shroud, and lift the lower fan shroud to disengage the fan shroud from the retaining clips on the radiator.
