You need to remove the strut, install the strut, and turn the spring compressor forcing screw. Then you can remove the upper strut mount nut and the strut from the J 45400. After that, you can loosen the compressor forcing screw and remove the upper strut mount and the coil spring from the J 45400.

You need to prepare the J 42991 strut rod nut socket and the J 45400 strut spring compressor.

Q: How to install the strut, strut component, or spring?
A:
You need to install the coil spring and upper strut mount, turn the spring compressor forcing screw, install the strut, and loosely install the strut retaining nut. Then you can hold the strut shaft, install the upper strut mount nut, and tighten the strut mount nut to 85 N.m. After that, you can remove the strut and install the strut.
