You need to remove the right insulator panel, the instrument panel compartment, and the screws. Then you need to disconnect the electrical connectors and the cell antenna coaxial cable. After that, you can remove the vehicle communication interface module (VCIM) from the bracket and the vehicle.

You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, remove the console accessory wiring junction block, rotate the BCM retaining lever, and remove the BCM from the console accessory wiring junction block.

After recording the 11-digit electronic serial number (ESN) and the 10-digit station identification (STID) number from the label on the new VCIM. You need to connect the electrical connectors and the cell antenna coaxial cable. Then you need to install the screws, the instrument panel (I/P) compartment, and the right insulator panel. Then you can reconfigure the system.

You need to install the BCM onto the console accessory wiring junction block, rotate the BCM retaining lever, and install the console accessory wiring junction block. Then you can connect the negative battery cable and perform the new BCM setup.
