Q: What is the removal procedure for the fuel rail assembly?
A:
You need to relieve the fuel system pressure, remove the wire harness bracket nut, disconnect the evaporative emission (EVAP) purge solenoid electrical connector, the generator electrical connector, and the electrical connectors, remove the knock sensor harness connector, and the connector position assurance (CPA) lock, disconnect the following electrical connectors, remove the harness clips, reposition the engine wire harness aside, disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors, remove the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) hose, disconnect the fuel feed pipe, loosen the crossover tube-to-right fuel rail bolt, remove the fuel rail bolts, the fuel rail, and the fuel injector lower O-ring seal, and discard the O-ring seal.

Q: How to disconnect the fuel injector electrical connectors?
A:
You need to mark the connectors to their corresponding injectors to ensure correct reassembly, pull the CPA retainer on the connector up with 1 click, push the tab on the connector in, and disconnect the fuel injector electrical connector.

Q: What is the removal procedure for fuel pressure relief?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, install the J 34730-1A, loosen the fuel fill cap to relieve fuel tank vapor pressure, open the valve on J 34730-1A to bleed the system pressure, drain any fuel remaining in the gage into an approved container, and once the system pressure is completely relieved, remove the J 34730-1A.
