2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo Exhaust Pipe

You can apply a 5 mm (0.2 inches) wide band of thread lock GM P/N 12345493 (Canadian P/N 10953488) or equivalent to the threads of the Exhaust Manifold bolts, install a new exhaust manifold gasket, the exhaust manifold and bolts, bend over the exposed edge of the exhaust manifold gasket, install the exhaust manifold heat shield and the bolts, install the O2 sensor, raise the vehicle, remove the mechanics' wire, connect the catalytic converter, install the exhaust crossover pipe nuts and install the ignition coil, the spark plugs and the fuel injector sight shield.

The procedure is to remove the catalytic converter, support the exhaust system, remove the exhaust system and clean the catalytic converter and the Muffler mating surfaces.

You can position the catalytic converter heat shield to the underbody, install new catalytic converter heat shield rivets, install the HO2S wiring harness from the clips and install the catalytic converter.
