The procedure is to raise the window to the full up position, remove the window regulator handle from the door by inserting tool J 9886-01 between the handle and the white plastic washer, remove the window regulator handle from the door, and then remove the bearing plate from the door.

The proper way is to install the white plastic washer to the regulator shaft, install the retaining clip to the handle, and then install the window regulator handle to the door with the handle forward at about a 50-degree angle.

The procedure is to disable the SIR system, remove all related panels and components, drill spot welds and remove the windshield side rail, locate and drill out all factory welds, and then remove the damaged windshield pillar section.

The proper way is to cut the replacement windshield pillar section in corresponding locations to fit the original panel, create a 50 mm (2 in) backing plate from the unused portion of the service part, drill 8 mm (5/16 in) plug weld holes along the sectioning cut on the remaining original part, fit the backing plate halfway into the sectioning joint, clamp and plug weld to the vehicle, install the windshield side rail, and then install all related panels and components.
