Q: What is the removal procedure for the ignition lock cylinder?
A:
The procedure is to remove the steering column trim covers, turn the ignition lock cylinder to the accessory (ACC) position, insert the 90-degree tip of a pick-type tool into the access hole of the ignition lock cylinder, push down and hold the retaining pin of the ignition lock cylinder, and then remove the ignition lock cylinder by pulling the cylinder away from the steering column.

Q: What should be noticed about the lock cylinder replacement?
A:
New lock cylinders (except ignition lock cylinders) are available from the service parts warehouse with new lock cylinder locking bars. The tumblers are also available and must be assembled into the cylinder as recommended.
