Q: How do you install the differential drive pinion flange/yoke, seal, and dust deflector?
A:
You should install the new deflector onto the pinion yoke using a soft-faced hammer, the new oil seal, the pinion yoke, the washer, and a new pinion nut, the J8614-01 onto the pinion yoke as shown, the front propeller shaft, the EPS and the brake calipers.

Q: How do you remove the drive pinion flange/yoke and/or oil seal?
A:
You should remove the rear brake drums and the propeller shaft, install the J 8614-01 as shown, remove the pinion nut while holding the J 8614-01 and the washer, install the J 8614-3 and the J 8614-2 into the J 8614-01 as shown, and remove the pinion yoke by turning the J 8614-3 clockwise while holding the J 8614-01 and the pinion oil seal.

You should remove the differential, the drive pinion from the axle, the shim, the outer pinion bearing cup from the axle housing using a hammer and a brass drift in the slots provided and the inner pinion bearing cup from the axle housing using a hammer and a brass drift in the slots provided.

Q: How do you install the rear drive axle?
A:
You should install the outer pinion bearing cup by the J 7817 and the J 8092, the inner pinion bearing cup by the J 8608 and the J 8092, the selective shim between the inner pinion bearing and the shoulder on the gear, the inner pinion bearing using the J 24433. Press the bearing on until the cone seats on the pinion shim, a new collapsible spacer, the pinion into the axle housing, the outer pinion bearing onto the pinion, a new pinion oil seal using the J 33782, and the pinion yoke. Align the marks made during removal, the washer, and a new pinion nut, the J 8614-01 onto the pinion yoke as shown and the differential.

You should remove the Engine Protection Shield (EPS), the front propeller shaft, and the brake calipers, install the J8614-01 onto the pinion as shown, remove the pinion nut while holding the J 8614-01, install the J 8614-2 and the J 8614-3 into the J 8614-01 as shown, remove the pinion yoke, the oil seal using a suitable seal removal tool and the dust deflector from the pinion yoke using a soft-faced hammer.
