Q: What is the removal procedure for the valve stem oil seal and valve spring?
A:
The procedure is to remove the camshaft and the camshaft roller followers, install the J 43649 to the cylinder head, remove the spark plugs, install an air hose adapter, pressurize the cylinder to 690 kPa (100 psi), compress the valve spring, remove the valve spring keepers, remove the valve spring and remove the valve seal.

A:
The procedure is to remove the camshaft cover and the upper timing chain guide, install the J 43655, remove both the intake and exhaust camshaft sprocket bolts, slide the camshaft sprockets forward, remove the power steering pump bolts and set the pump aside, mark bearing caps, remove the bearing caps and the intake camshaft and remove the camshaft roller followers and the hydraulic element lash adjusters.
Q: What is the removal procedure for the camshaft cover?
A:
The procedure is to disconnect the negative battery cable and remove the air outlet resonator, the accelerator and cruise control cables bracket, the PCV hose, the fuel line brackets, the brake booster hose/pipe from its bracket, the ignition coil, and module assembly, the ground strap, the camshaft cover bolts, and the camshaft cover.
