You can raise the vehicle, remove the stabilizer shaft, disconnect the tie rod ends and the steering intermediate shaft, support the frame, remove the frame rear bolts, lower the frame and the powertrain, disconnect the power steering gear cooler pipe, disconnect the power steering gear pressure hose, remove the power steering gear bolts and nuts and remove the power steering gear.

The procedure is to install the new boot clamp, apply grease to the inner tie rod assembly and the rack and pinion gear assembly, install the rack and pinion boot onto the inner tie rod assembly and the gear assembly, install and crimp the boot clamp, install the tie rod end clamp, install the hex jam nut and assemble the outer tie rod assembly.

You can loosen the adjuster plug lock nut, turn the adjuster plug clockwise, turn the adjuster plug back 50 degrees to 70 degrees (approximately one flat) and install the adjuster plug lock nut.
