The procedure is to remove the evaporator tube, remove the evaporator tube from the condenser tube, remove the expansion orifice tube and inspect the expansion (orifice) tube.

28/10/2022Q: How do you install the expansion (orifice) tube?
A:
You can coat the new orifice tube O-ring seal with mineral base 525 viscosity refrigerant oil, remove the cap or tape from the evaporator tube, grasp the edge of the expansion (orifice) tube (short filter screen inlet side of the tube), clean the sealing surfaces of the tube fittings, install a new O-ring seal, install the evaporator tube, evacuate and recharge the A/C system, leak test the fittings of the component and install the hood close out filler panel.
