You need to remove the air cleaner assembly and nut, disconnect the electrical connectors, remove the Ignition Coil wire to the distributor, the accelerator cable bracket, the studs holding the bracket and the ignition coil, next remove the bracket and the ignition coil, then drill and punch out the two rivets holding the ignition coil to the bracket, finally remove the ignition coil.
Q: How to remove the Ignition Control Module?
A:
You need to disconnect the electrical connector, remove 2 screws holding the Ignition Control Module and the heat sink to the bracket, then remove the ignition control module and heat sink.
Q: How to remove the powertrain control module (PCM)?
A:
You need to disconnect the negative battery cable, move the PCM retention bar and retainer away from the PCM, remove the PCM from the PCM mounting bracket, and disconnect the PCM electrical connectors.
