2005 Buick Rainier Window Regulator

You should lower the window to the midway point, remove the rear door trim panel and the water deflector, loosen the regulator glass carrier bolts, slide the window to the full up position and tape it to the window frame, disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator motor and the retainer securing the regulator cable to the door, remove the 2 lower regulator retaining bolts, loosen the top regulator retaining bolt and remove the window regulator, lifting up and out from the keyhole slot on the rear door inner panel and through the access hole.

The recommended torque is 10 Nm (88 lb in).

You should remove the door trim panel, the water deflector, and the speaker, loosen the regulator window carrier bolts, raise and support the window, disconnect the electrical connector from the regulator motor and remove the 3 bolts that retain the window regulator assembly to the door and the window regulator assembly from the door.

You should remove the door trim panel, the speaker, and the water deflector, loosen the regulator window carrier bolts, raise and support the window, disconnect the electrical connector from the regulator motor, loosen the upper 2 bolts that retain the regulator assembly to the door, remove the remaining 3 bolts that retain the window regulator assembly and the motor to the door, lift the regulator assembly upward to release the upper 2 bolts, rotate the upper portion of the regulator assembly forward, remove the regulator assembly through the door opening, place the regulator assembly on a prepared surface and remove the upper 2 bolts from the regulator assembly.

You should swing the endgate open, remove the regulator bolt access plugs, the endgate trim panel, the endgate inner panel reinforcement, the endgate window, and the bolt retaining the regulator to the endgate, loosen the nuts retaining the regulator rails to the endgate, remove the regulator by sliding the regulator side rails up and out of the keyhole slots in the gate, disconnect the electrical connector from the window regulator and remove the regulator assembly from the endgate out the access hole.
