Q: How to remove the Drive Pinion Flange/Yoke and/or Oil Seal?
A:
You should raise the vehicle, and observe and mark the positions of all the driveline components, relative to the propeller shaft and the axles, remove the tire and wheel assemblies, the rear brake calipers, the brake rotors, and the propeller shaft, measure the amount of torque required to rotate the pinion, place an alignment mark between the pinion and the pinion yoke, install the J8614-01, remove the pinion nut while holding the J8614-01 and the washer, install the J8614-3 and the J8614-2 into the J8614-01, remove the pinion yoke and the pinion oil seal and use a suitable seal removal tool.
