2005 Buick Rainier MAP Sensor

You should remove the resonator assembly and the evaporative emission (EVAP) canister purge line from the Throttle Body, disconnect the throttle body electrical connector, remove the throttle body assembly retaining bolts and the throttle body assembly and the gasket from the intake manifold and clean the gasket surface.

You should relieve the fuel pressure, remove the throttle body, the powertrain control module (PCM) retaining bolts and nuts, and the PCM mounting studs, position the PCM out of the way, disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector, the fuel feed and fuel return pipes and the integral clip, remove the engine wire harness bracket bolt, position the engine electrical wire harness bracket with wires attached out of the way, disconnect the manifold absolute pressure (MAP) sensor electrical connector, the crankcase ventilation hose, and the vacuum brake booster hose, remove the generator, loosen the Intake Manifold bolts and remove the intake manifold.

You should remove the radiator support diagonal brace if applicable, disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) reaction pump inlet hose from the air cleaner air outlet duct, loosen the 3 air cleaner housing retaining screws, remove the air cleaner housing, lift the air cleaner element and air outlet duct from the lower air cleaner housing/washer solvent tank assembly, remove the air cleaner element from the air outlet duct with a twisting and pulling motion, inspect the entire assembly for dust, debris, or water and clean or replace as necessary.
