You should remove all of the related panels and components and the sealer surrounding the hinge, scribe the location of the hinge, hand-sand the existing hinge with 100 grit sandpaper to locate the four weld locations, center punch each weld location, drill a 3 mm (1/8 in) pilot hole, drill through the hinge base using a 19 mm (3/4 in) rota broach hole saw or equivalent, use a chisel to separate the hinge from the mating surface and remove the hinge and the remaining weld from the mating surface to ensure a flush fit of the service hinge.

You should open the door, remove the lock striker, close the door, verify the proper fit to the door opening and weatherstrips, install the lock striker to the door opening and the lock striker screws, and rock the striker up and down to loosen the striker backing plate from the body, close the door while holding the outside handle in the open position to align the lock striker, open the door, finish tightening the lock striker screws and verify proper door operation.

You should open the door, remove the lock striker from the door opening, close the door with the lock striker removed, and verify the proper door fit to the door opening and weatherstrips. Adjust the door frame, install the lock striker to the door opening and the lock striker screws retaining the lock striker to the door opening, rock the striker up and down to loosen the lock striker backing plate from the body, close the door while holding the outside handle in the open position, adjust the lock striker position to allow the door to close with minimum effort, open the door, finish tightening the lock striker screws and close the door.

You should install the striker and spacer to the door frame and the bolts that retain the striker to the door frame, position the striker and spacer to the door frame as previously marked, fully tighten the bolts that retain the striker to the door frame and close the door.

You should open the door, mark the position of the striker on the door frame and remove the 2 bolts that retain the striker to the door frame and the striker and spacer from the door frame.
