A:
You should install the axle shaft bearing using the J23690 and the J8092, drive the axle shaft bearing into the axle housing until the tool bottoms against the tube, install the axle shaft seal using the J21128, drive the tool into the bore until the axle shaft seal bottoms flush with the tube, install the axle shaft, the rear axle housing cover and the gasket and the tire and wheel assembly, fill the rear axle with axle lubricant and lower the vehicle.

You should remove the brake caliper retaining bolts and the brake hose, disconnect the ABS harness connector, remove the harness, the outer tie rod retaining nut and tie rod, the intermediate shaft nut, the upper ball joint pinch bolt, the knuckle assembly, the drive axle, the stabilizer bar linkage, the upper strut retaining bolts, the nut from the lower strut assembly, the assembly from the vehicle and the outboard intermediate shaft seal or the differential carrier seal, clean the intermediate shaft bearing assembly and/or the differential housing of oil and dirt, install the drive axle, the shock module, the stabilizer shaft linkage, the knuckle assembly and the lower ball joint nut, the intermediate shaft through the knuckle assembly, the upper ball joint to the control arm and install the pinch bolt and nut, the intermediate shaft nut, the brake caliper, and brake hoses and the harness.

You should raise the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting and remove the tire and wheel assembly, the rear axle housing cover and the gasket, the axle shaft and the axle shaft seal, and/or the bearing from the axle housing using the J44685 and the J2619-01.

Q: How to remove the Rear Axle Shaft?
A:
You should raise the vehicle, remove the tire and wheel assembly, the brake caliper, the rear axle housing cover, the gasket, and the pinion shaft locking bolt, remove the pinion shaft on axles without a locking differential, remove the shaft part-way on axles with a locking differential, rotate the case until the pinion shaft touches the housing, enter the differential case and rotate the C-lock until the C-lock aligns with the thrust block, push the flange of the Axle Shaft toward the differential and remove the C-lock from the button end of the axle shaft and the axle shaft from the housing.
Q: How to install the Lubricant-Front Drive Axle?
A:
You should install the drain plug and the washer, gill the Differential carrier assembly with lubricant, use the proper fluid, install the fill plug and the engine protection shield and lower the vehicle.
Q: How to disassemble the Universal Joint-External Snap Ring?
A:
You should support the propeller shaft in a line horizontal with the table of a press, show which end connects to the transmission and which end goes to the rear axle, disassemble the snap rings, tap the end of the cup lightly, place the universal joint and J9522-3 on the open horizontal bearing cups, lift the cross and insert J9522-5 between the seal and the bearing cup you are removing, rotate the propeller shaft, mark the orientation of the slip yoke to the tube for proper reassembly, remove the cross, the remaining universal joint parts, and the bearing cups, inspect the retaining ring grooves and the bearing cup bores and clean the retaining ring grooves.
