2005 Buick LeSabre Tail Light

You should install the tail/backup lamp harness grommet to the rear compartment lid, install the tail/backup lamp, install the tail/backup lamp fasteners to the tail/backup lamp studs, connect the tail/backup lamp electrical connector, connect the tail/backup lamp harness connector and clip the connector to the metal edge of the rear compartment lid.

You should remove the rear compartment sill plate, disconnect the tail lamp connector, press the grommet out of the rear end panel, remove the fasteners securing the tail lamp assembly to the body, remove the tail lamp assembly from the body, twist the tail lamp socket counterclockwise to remove and replace the failed bulbs, if necessary.

You should disconnect the tail/backup lamp harness connector from the body wiring harness, remove the tail/backup lamp assembly from the rear compartment lid, unplug the tail/backup lamp harness grommet from the rear compartment lid and remove the tail/backup lamp from the vehicle.

You should route the tail lamp connector and the grommet through the body, verify that the grommet is fully seated in the body rear end panel, install the tail lamp bulb into the tail lamp socket, align the tabs on the tail lamp socket to the notches in the tail lamp assembly, twist the tail lamp socket clockwise to secure the tail lamp socket to the tail lamp assembly, install the tail lamp assembly to the body, install the fasteners that secure the tail lamp assembly to the body, connect the tail lamp connector and install the rear compartment sill plate.
