Q: How do I remove the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor?
A:
You should turn OFF the ignition, drain the coolant below the level of the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor, disconnect the sensor electrical connector and carefully remove the ECT sensor.

A:
You should coat the threads with sealer GM P/N 9985253 or equivalent, install the ECT sensor, connect the ECT harness connector to the ECT sensor and refill the cooling system.
