Q: How to adjust the Automatic Transmission Range Selector Cable?
A:
You should set the parking brake and chock the wheels, remove the range selector cable terminal from the transmission manual shaft lever pin, pry on the range selector cable terminal at the manual shaft lever pin with an appropriate tool, lift the adjuster lock button, place the transmission manual shaft lever in (N) Neutral. In order to find (N) Neutral, rotate the lever fully counterclockwise to (P) Park, and then clockwise 2 clicks into (N) Neutral, place the gear shifter inside the car to the (N) Neutral position, underhood, grasp the range selector cable terminal and pull it toward the pin on the manual shaft lever, attach the pin to the lever by pushing down carefully until it snaps, press the adjuster lock button down flush with the adjuster body, shift to (P) Park and release the parking brake while applying the service brake and start the engine and assure all of the indicated gear positions match the vehicle response.

Q: How to install the Automatic Transmission Range Selector Cable?
A:
You should route the range selector cable through the engine compartment, install the range selector cable through the cowl, install the range selector cable to the steering column bracket, install the retaining clip to the range selector cable, install the range selector cable to the column control lever, install the left IP close-out panel, install the transaxle range selector cable into the bracket, connect the transaxle range selector cable terminal to the transaxle manual shift lever pin, insert the retainer to the transaxle range selector cable mechanism and adjust the range selector cable.

Q: How to remove the Automatic Transmission Range Selector Cable?
A:
You should set the parking brake and chock the wheels, lift the retainer from the transaxle range selector cable mechanism, disconnect the transaxle range selector cable terminal from the transaxle manual shift lever pin, press the locking tabs inward to release the transaxle range selector cable from the bracket, remove the left closeout/insulator panel, remove the retaining clip from the range selector cable, remove the range selector cable from the column control lever, remove the range selector cable from the steering column bracket and remove the range selector cable through the hole in the cowl.
