Q: What is the removal procedure for the center intermediate steering shaft?
A:
The procedure is to turn the steering wheel, turn the ignition lock cylinder to the lock position, remove the key, install the J 42640, raise the vehicle, remove the upper to center intermediate shaft retaining bolt and the lower intermediate shaft to the power steering gear retaining bolt, disconnect the lower intermediate shaft and the center intermediate shaft and remove the center intermediate shaft, the lower to center intermediate shaft retaining bolt and the center intermediate shaft.

Q: How do you install the center intermediate steering shaft?
A:
You can install the lower intermediate shaft and the lower to center intermediate shaft retaining bolt, connect the center intermediate shaft, install the center to upper intermediate shaft retaining bolt, connect the lower intermediate shaft, install the lower intermediate shaft to power steering gear retaining bolt, lower the vehicle and remove J 42640.
